Nothing helped, had to get a refund
I tried the winedlloverrides mentioned here, tried different Proton versions and also several GE versions. But no matter what I tried I would only see the launcher for a millisecond and then it would crash. Had to get a refund :( (MX Linux user)
Runs just like on Windows (minus the Pip-Boy Radio)
Pip-Boy radio stations not working, in-world radios do play music.
The same amount of crashes as in Windows 10
MX Linux user.
I played over 150 hours with Proton, it's a real blessing!

No normal Proton or GE version works with MX Linux, at least not with my hardware
Triple boot system here, MX Linux 19.2 ahs, Linux Mint 20 & Windows 10.
In MX Linux, the game doesn't even start (no black screen or anything) with any vanilla Proton or even Proton-GE version. If I use PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% with Proton 5.11-GE-3-MF the game starts up but the colours are too dark and off and you can't really see anything. I suspect a problem somewhere between Proton, my AMD RX570 card (or MESA drivers) and MX Linux/Debian but wasn't able to fix it yet. Will provide new report if I do.
The game at least seems to start normally with the same hardware under Linux Mint but it stutters so much that it is still unplayable.
Game runs as expected on Windows 10.
