PAYDAY 2
Everything works marvellously; the gameplay is indistinguishable to native Windows execution.
Launch Flags:Large Address Aware, Use D9VK
Large addressing is required to dissuade the game from crashing on larger maps, and D9VK is used as a layer from DirectX9 to Vulkan. On many Linux distributions, such as Gentoo, Mesa must be compiled with the 'vulkan' and, more optionally, 'vulkan-overlay' flags.
Customizations:Something Else
Installing gallium-nine-standalone from the Gentoo Portage was required, otherwise the game will fail silently. See https://packages.gentoo.org/packages/app-emulation/gallium-nine-standalone.
This is far preferable to the OpenGL "native" port, which is quite possibly the most atrocious gaming experience imaginable. I would recommend PAYDAY 2 with Proton and Gallium to any serious player wishing to free their computer of Microsoft's malware.

PAYDAY: The Heist
This game runs flawlessly, but does require an older version of Proton (3.7-8, ~300MiB).
