Crashed after hitting something - screen frozen - won't respond to input
Crashes consistently when you don't have internet, the minute you hit something with your weapon - the screen freezes and no controls will respond.
Excessive crashing
Occasionally has crackling audio when resuming game after suspending.
This game runs flawlessly on the deck! One note: When the game is paused, and then you switch between docked (using external controller) and handheld mode, the game will stop recognizing input. Going to the Controller configuration for the game and reordering controllers (making whichever one you want to use in the 1 slot) fixes it.
Text was really small - had to increase size of it using the in game menus
Entering text is super awkward. If you want to search for text in the resource database, it's awkward. The keyboard comes up and takes over the whole screen and your'e shown an input box. Then you enter your text - hit enter. Then you're shown an input box again (with whatever you typed in), then it does that again, until finally it takes you back to the game.
Tried playing using the deck itself and the controls were super awkward. Better setup is playing it docked to my giant TV using bluetooth'd Mouse and Keyboard.
Once I launched the game with Proton Experimental, it said it detected a controller, but still wasn't working. I made sure it was set to XBOX 360 Wired using the touch interface; but still didn't detect it. Closing the game and running it another time made it work. Now you can use joysticks/buttons on controller to access the menus, start & play the game.
Major frame drops once you get into the game and are on a hoverbike. Others say it's OK, but I felt it made it unplayable and gave up on finishing even though I really wanted to be able to finish the game.
Wish performance was better on Steam Deck. A friend played it on PC and had frame drop issues there too - but wasn't as bad as on the deck.
