Tried using various versions of Proton GE as recommended by others, but I could not get the game to launch to the main menu.

The game runs fine using Proton Experimental, but I was getting lower fps than on windows 11. I switched to Glorious Eggroll's Proton and added the DXVK_ASYNC=1 %command% launch option and got more fps than on windows 11. Hopefully the game stays in this state and further updates don't bork it.
