Works as intended. Cloud Save compatible. Ran at High settings, 60fps cap with VSync on. Proton-GE optional.
VSync ON is recommended as of release build due to some unusual throttling into the 20fps marker with it disabled on Deck. This may change in a future patch, but the game is otherwise what I would consider Platinum (Deck Verified).
Works beyond expectations. Initial launcher issues can be completely subverted with the use of XIVLauncher. Disable Dalamud for no mods.
Cross Hotbar will need re-binding for PC users coming to Deck for the first time.
Default Launcher struggles to download the game at times, and may need rebooting. Personally recommend using XIVLauncher instead.
Changing the window size and font is recommended as this was initially made with PlayStation and PC in mind.
Beyond expectations. Pair with a Portable Hotspot with good reception and you'll be able to play FF XIV anywhere you like.
It is here. Finally, with the use of portable hotspots and the High (Laptop) preset, you can take FF XIV with you anywhere with a good reception for at least 2h30ms of battery life without using AMD FSR. Cross Hotbar and controller-based targeting can be jarring at first but works really well!
Mods also work via XIVLauncher and Dalamud - Highly recommended due to it's ease of login function and XIVCombo to turn GCD combos from 3 hotbar spaces into 1. Plays a lot more like a Action-RPG after this change.
