Without the launch commands, the mouse input sensitivity would fluctuate or even stutter.
Installed the game on Steam, then run the Lutris install script for Plutonium and selected the path of the locally installed copy. Game runs flawlessly, except for a flickering cursor in the menu and mouse input issues, that can be mitigated through the launch options.
I'm surprised that it works so flawlessly.

Out-of-the-box, Dying Light would start, but i had graphical glitches - either no screen or glitching textures, without the ability to even see the main menu, while audio was fine - with constant prompts that the game is not responding. With GE-Proton9-23, it worked like a wonder.
Very often, you can't click into the game, it stutters after an hour of gameplay and sometimes crashes out of nowhere.

When enabling NVIDIA Frame Generation, the HUD is noticeably ghosting.
Game runs well with these commands and GE Proton 9.23. DLSS Frame Generation adds noticeable UI ghosting regardless of the settings.
