Likely similar to Windows, some noticable stutter and sudden FPS drops. Very playable despite issues.
Near flawless experience with ultrawide (3440x1440), DLSS 3 and Nvidia Reflex. I am getting 50 - 80 FPS. Have not tested on Windows to compare but I suspect it would be very similar experience.

Found on Nexus Mods, see link below.
Used Protontricks regeditor to add the following keys and registry values. This appears to have almost completely eliminated all stuttering:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\Dragon Age The Veilguard.exe]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\Dragon Age The Veilguard.exe\PerfOptions] "CpuPriorityClass"=dword:00000003 "IoPriority"=dword:00000003 "PagePriority"=dword:00000005
Infrequent crackling on audio, mostly on startup.
Infrequent flickering artifacts on faces.
Stuttering issues before registry fix.
Was playable and enjoyable without fixes.

FSR frame generation produces some screen tearing even when FPS is capped under monitor Hz and VRR being on in KDE. Not an issue when frame generation is off.
Input delay is quite noticable when frame generation is on. Not an issue when frame generation is off.
Looking at large bodies of water at cetain angles causes sudden FPS drops. (Unsure if this is unique to linux) Suspect RT reflections being the cause.
NOTE: Make sure the Mesa driver (vulkan-radeon 25.04) is in use for this one, if using amdvlk (2025.Q1.3) it wouldnt even load for me.
Very playable on a 9070 XT despite unoptimised drivers. Game will truely shine on this card when FSR4 is available. Suspect most if not all of my performance issues could be avoided with lowered settings and more aggressive FSR. Particularly RT settings (as you would expect) are quite demanding.
Due to input lag and screen tearing, recommend playing without FSR frame generation as of now. Unsure if DLSS/Nvidia is a better experience in this regard.
