Game freezes or outright stops when switching tabs sometimes.
Not yet known why. Game graphically will freeze but audio still plays, not in a loop either as I can move the character and hear the footsteps.
May only be specific to me. But Firefox crashes repeatly in the background while playing this game. No other game on steam has done this to me thus far.
Going to update report when I'm done tinkering.

VKD3D_DISABLE_EXTENSIONS=VK_NV_device_generated_commands_compute %command%
Minor cracking and taring
Unless you run the launch options, it is unplayable. 1-5FPS in game, even the 'social' screen was buggy
I would play this on LOW settings if possible. High Settings even with my GPU had some suttering issues. Just pretend its Halo 3 graphics and it will still be enjoyable.
Works fairly well on Pop_OS (using KDE if that matters) Had 2 times where the game locked up. Turns out 1 was because of a fullscreen issue
Random Tabbing, Windowed Fullscreen glitches
All controllers seem to work well with this game, litte to no input lag (WIRED). Solid game to play on linux with no real difference to widows.
eval $( echo "%command%" | sed "s/2KLauncher\/LauncherPatcher.exe'.*/Base\/Binaries\/Win64Steam\/CivilizationVI'/" )
Game has wonky fullscreen mode.
Graphics take a bit of a hit, 5% difference in FPS compared to Windows. For most this isn't a concern
Without running proton it is unplayable, proton DOES fix this but can occasionally crash
I hosted a game with two window's users and we didn't have any issues....
First couple of times I did experience crashes, the cause of them are unknown to me ATM.
If you run Proton with this game it should make it bearable. If you have any DLC you need to use Proton peroid. Will not work properly otherwise.
I also didn't touch DX12 and just used DX11 since that is usually a bit more stable.
Edited Scripts in Sid Meier's Civilization VI
On steam click manage -> browse local files.
create a file called steam_appid.txt, in that file put in 289070 (game ID) use the proton version 4.11.12 (I beileve thats what it's exactly called) and set the launcher options to LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libfreetype.so.6 LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/openssl-1.0 %command%
If you have issue's running it from steam go to the local files and run Civ6sub.exe, this bypass's the launcher which is where most of the problems stem.
