bleeding-edge beta
Game and launcher works perfectly with proton experimental bleeding edge. I had to go to Steam in desktop mode, right click on Proton Experimental and select Properties, BETAS, then select bleeding-edge manually from the drop down menu.
TDP 10w
Online connectivity is regional and not worldwide, limiting players to who they can connect with. Can be fixed with a mod called "Better Matchmaking"
The game plays at a constant 60fps so long as you change these settings in options > display > advanced graphics settings, while on the main menu.
Image quality = 100% (in game) Dynamic Shadows = off Processing reduction via model swap = on Mesh Quality = Average
The big one for me was Dynamic Shadows. In Elgado, I was getting 55fps with dips, but when I disabled this setting it shot up to 85fps.
With these settings I was able to lower the TDP to 10w to get a constant 60fps while maintaining battery and reducing fan noise.
Ensure to use in game vsync(not frame rate cap) not the Decks built in limiter, for lowest latency. Frame rate cap in game causes stutter and frame time inconsistencies.
12w tdp + 45hz Refresh Rate
huge amounts of stuttering in The Duviri Paradox
Crashed when using the overlay in Duviri Paradox every time. Frequest slowdown and crashes during cutscenes. Game asked to install 20gb+ of vulkan shaders, and moving this to the sd card (which was my only option having just a 64gb Deck) made the game unplayable.
