I used GE-Proton7-42 because I set up steam to use GE-Proton as default compatibility tool, I tried to use Proton-experimental and it seemed fine as well.
I didn't have any issue with the game or encountered any major bug during my time with the game.
I have had no issues at all playing the game on Linux, I have tried both the default Proton and Proton Experimental
I have tried the game on both openSUSE Tumbleweed and on Fedora Workstation 37, both experiences were positive and I had no issues while playing the game.
- missing audio during cutscenes - weird bug that slows the game to a crawl when Master Arts are learnt
audio missing during cutscenes - watched them on youtube as the story progressed
- playing on X11 there'll be some weird v-sync issue which is not present on wayland
- when characters learn a new Master Arts a small video plays showing the art in question, if left playing for too long it feels like the game "loses focus" and slows to a crawl, the only fix I found is to tab out close firefox and tab back in for some reason that seemed to do the trick. I wanna point out I incurred into this issues with firefox not running as well so it seems to be independant from that.
I didn't have any issue on my playthrough of this game done on Linux with Proton GE compared to my previous playthrough done on Windows, everything seemed to be working just as expected and with no trouble at all.
I tried to play for a few hours with proton experimental as well and I didn't notice any issue.
The game ran well and I didn't notice any particular issues with it
