With latest update (winter war) still the same issue - no window opens.
Seems to work great. As noted, Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime is REQUIRED to be installed, otherwise you'll get kicked from matches.
eval $(echo "%command%" | sed 's/Chivalry2Launcher.exe/TBL\/Binaries\/Win64\/Chivalry2-Win64-Shipping.exe/')
Requires Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime installed in steam library. otherwise kick after 1min
When fullscreen on a 1440p display, the location of menu buttons do not match, making it hard to click them.
Some lag sometimes, mostly works fine.
Says native, but on my setup it would not start. Proton-GE works well.
Works great out of the box. Also a fun game, if a bit repetitive as it progresses.
Black screen, no main menu
Does not work, just shows a black screen. Fixes in other comments only made it worse for me.
Works great, after working around an issue with ryzen5
The game loaded incredibly slow for me and performance was bad. This was due to a weird issue with ryzen processors and newer linux kernels - "system clock source" was set to HPET which caused the abysmal performance. It's supposed to be TSC and on TSC it works perfectly.
On my machine, the issue ONLY happens after a reboot (warm boot). Doing a complete shutdown and fresh start makes linux use TSC which is fine.
So if you're having the issues - do NOT reboot, just shut down completely and use the power button to start and see if it's better. if yes, you've likely got the same issue.
Cannot get past the title screen, it locks up.
Tried several proton versions including experimental and proton-GE, and launch arguments. nothing works.
Stopped working with "recent" patch
Game used to work okay apart from some savegame corruption which might have been fixed with patches. but it doesn't launch any more. 0.5.6 was the last i played that worked, haven't played between then and now so the breaking update might be 0.7 or older.
correcting my last report - works fine with mesa vulkan drivers
my last report said that a recent update broke the game. i did some troubleshooting, and turns out i had been using amdvlk (standalone amd vulkan driver) on my arch installation. installing vulkan-radeon (Radeon Mesa vulkan driver) made it work - not sure why but it's fine now even on latest patch.
Works great, but either finish it quickly or back up your savegames regularly.
Seems to delete my saves randomly from time to time. very disappointing but probably a proton/steamcloud issue.
