Sometimes the game would launch directly to the start screen but would be unresponsive until it plays the developer/publisher cinematics.
Everytime the game has to process vulkan shaders it will crash the first time but will launch normally if one tries again.
Game starts but only shows a white screen.
There is sound though, and you can apparently choose a game and it starts but the white screen stays. I tried with Proton 4.11-13 and it fixed the problem.
On the regular Steam client the game ran without problems, HOWEVER once I enabled rpm-fusion repositories the game would start and then crash after showing a few seconds of the starting animation.
If I enter in Big Picture mode before launching the game there are no crashes, just a small hiccup during the starting animation.
As noted by other reports you have to remove the following libraries from the game directory for it to start normally:
- libdrm.so.2
- libGLdispatch.so.0
- libstdc++.so.6
- librt.so.1
If you are running the Flatpak version of Steam you will get stuck at the part where you have to execute _______, not even running it from the game folder will work. Ask me how I know.
If you want to play this game avoid the Flatpak version of Steam. If you are not running a desktop enviroment you might not get the complete experience and even if you are running one you have to go through some hoops to complete the game.
I think it is still worth going through all of the above because the story is so good.
