The cursor was not grabbed by the window in Hyprland, fixed using gamescope
Works flawlessly in Singleplayer and Multiplayer, no major issues. The cursor bug can be fixed using gamescope and the --force-grab-cursor option. Experienced some rare desyncs in multiplayer after one hour, not sure if these were even caused by Proton.
Bought the game on Steam, so both Steam and Ubisoft Connect are required to launch the game. Anno 1800 is usually not able to identify Ubisoft Connect installations. The solution is to install Ubisoft Connect into the 'compatdata' folder of Anno 1800. Just run the following command from any terminal to install Ubisoft Connect (assuming the installer is already downloaded in the "Downloads" directory). No additional launch options etc. required.
protontricks -c "wine $HOME/Downloads/UbisoftConnectInstaller.exe" 916440
Game runs great on Linux, almost as good as on Windows.
Big performance issues compared to a native Windows installation and constant crashes (every few minutes)
