First boot of the game was in window mode with Low settings. Networking works fine, pushed all settings to Max and the game runs perfect
The normal amount of small hitching and jank when either loading into a map, or when heaps of things are happening on the screen. Frame drops when loading in textures which can be replicated by changing your skins in the selection menu ("New-U"). I experienced this on Windows as well. May even be an Nvidia thing too. Otherwise, its perfect.
Works as is; opens and runs on Low settings by default, upping everything to Max works just fine.
Normal amount of Lag when too many units on screen; completely normal
No tweaks or changes; just ran as is on Bazzite and it's perfect
Booted up Doom Eternal to try the new Mods on offer. The Mod Manager is a little bit jank and often freezes, but stick with it and it'll be fine. Once loaded in, there may be a bug with attempting to change settings using the mouse. When you click on a setting to change and a context menu should appear, it often flickers and you can't select anything; just use your keyboard to select and change (arrow keys, enter, space, esc).
Works flawlessly on Bazzite using the XIVLauncher from Bazaar. Game will boot for the first time (after any updates) in a small screen that appears to hang for a minute or two on a black screen, please just wait. Once logo appears and menu loads, heading into settings and maxxing everything out works perfect.
I was expecting some tinkering with this one, but the only thing that may happen; the splash screen takes forever to load, but it also did this for me on Windows. Giving it a full 3 minutes to do whatever it's doing, it loads in and everything works just fine!
Painful to setup, painful to workaround, keybinds don't work, UI becomes almost impossible to navigate
Key rebinding does not work, or save.
opencl.dll needs to be downloaded and placed in a certain spot; see notes. nProtect AntiCheat must be exempt on Firewall and adblockers
The game does play, so if you're willing to put in the effort and compromise on some things, like keybinds not working, changing, or saving; you have to do some tinkering.
First: opencl.dll needs to be downloaded and placed into a folder Google opencl.dll and don't use the first website at the top; the download links are broken Use the one from 'dllme'; get the one from 'Khronos Group' that is at the top, AND 64-Bit
Second: my path is "/run/media/system/Games/SteamLibrary/steamapps/compatdata/1377580/pfx/drive_c/windows/system32" Dump 'opencl.dll' in here.
Third: disconnect and turn off VPN if applicable; and run the game from steam as normal nProtect should download and install itself; then wait as the game boots if nProtect throws and error and dumps you to a website about windows troubleshooting, check your firewall settings and unblock the address the website shows you
The UI mode button is bound to Left Alt and I can't change it; and it does not work I have to hold TAB, which makes interactions sometimes no work, or tricky If you choose to go that route, if you get stuck in a menu, keep pressing ESC till you get control back and try again.
Good Luck!
Runs fine straight out of the box with no tinker required on my end. Normal amount of jank I am used to seeing on Unreal 5 titles, the same micro stutter and jank that's very infrequent, even on Windows 11.
Tried different fixes, nothing.
With no tweaks, game reports its launching, then instantly drops. With forced Proton version, endless 'Launching'. With GE, endless 'Launching'.
Fresh install of Bazzite, running for 3 days, installed Warframe as is, nothing needed to be added or tinkered with. Loads up in a window, but once logged in and navigated to settings, it was perfect. Once you've changed the settings to suit your GPU and preferences, close the game down and re-open; perfect.
