Game begins lagging after about ~3 hours of straight playtime. Otherwise runs really smoothly, even with Youtube open in the background.
Hubworld had some random slowdown, main gameplay was smooth.
Tried it with Proton first, and it loaded smoothly but had some lag when scrolling around the map, and also a random crash (though tbf Windows also has random crashes). Native a bit laggier than Windows, but generally solid performance. Much faster load times either way, even with a relatively heavy modlist
Need to increase swap memory. 8 GB was enough in my case
CK3 is CK3
Native Linux version is unplayable, with severe graphical glitches in fullscreen and nonfunctional controls either way. Proton Experimental works with no issues
Stuck in windowed mode for unknown reason
Significant performance problems on higher graphics settings despite adequate performance on windows. Fixed by lowering graphics settings
Game was pixelly on first launch but messing around with tinkering got it to work. More stable in terms of crashes than on Windows, but a bit harder on the hardware. Overall fine.
Ran just as fine as Windows, and I'm pretty sure I even got better loadtimes. Fair warning to people switching over from Windows: you will have to redo all your interface customizations and preferences except for, a surprise to be sure but a welcome one, keybinds.
Game will not launch on the Native version because it doesn't recognize the executable. Game runs completely smooth with no noticeable bugs or glitches using Proton 9.0-4
