DX11 non-starter. DX12 crashes without fail during character creation
I tried with and without DXR and DLSS. Using Proton-GE-6.21-2, I saw intro videos, got to the menu, changed settings -- no problem. Once creating my character in the game start, the game would invariably freeze and crash at different points while I was selecting character appearance.
Crash on start w/ vanilla Proton; Black screen w/ Proton-GE
Tested with Proton v6.3-7, and Proton-GE-6.20-1.
Non-starter
When I launch the game, Origin launches briefly, and then disappears. A message box appears with the message "There is a problem with your game's setup. Please re-install your game."
Same with Proton 6.3-3 and Proton Experimental
If you like Rimworld, but your imagination is sleepy, let this game do more of the heavy lifting.
On a 1440p ultrawide with Fullscreen, mouse pointer is inaccurate. Switch to WIndowed and use your Window Manager to fullscreen it.
Didn't work with the Valve-shipped version of Proton. I got into menus, but crashed while loading the tutorial.
