The demo worked perfectly out-of-the-box
Will update my report after getting & trying the full game.
Booba.
Slightly annoying with the occasional crashes, but still enjoyable and playable.
The game crashes at random times, but it's still playable, as the game saves every time you enter a new level.

Increasing your open file limits seems to fix the crashing issue! Further testing is needed, but I finished a +1.5 hour session without a single crash.

It's a really fun game! Definitely skill based, and not as luck based as other roguelikes.
Booba.
Game is essentially unfinishable for me
Constant freezes
Game freezes constantly, not only during cutscenes but even gameplay, and it doesn't save your progress during a level, so you'll have to start all over again until you manage to finish one without it freezing.
Game wouldn't start on proton experimental or GE-Proton 9-26, freezing on a black screen.
It was a hassle to get it to even start with Intel Arc, but seems to be generally playable now, at the lowest settings.

Lowering the settings is necessary to start the game, and installing the optimized config is necessary to lower the settings :D
Getting under 30 FPS at medium settings (no frame gen). Unsure whether this is due to the generally poor optimization of the game or Intel Arc drivers - Probably a mixture of both.
Switching to Proton Experimental bleeding edge is required - Without it the game gets stuck at a black screen after the Capcom logo.
Trying to actually start the game will result in it freezing, if not right after pressing then at the first cutscreens. Trying to lower the graphical settings to anything below "High" -preset would also make it freeze. Installing the custom config.ini fixed that, but setting the resolution to 720p was still necessary to get past the opening cutscenes without freezing.
After getting past the opening cutscenes and the tutorial monster, I've been able to increase the settings - but only in the start menu, as doing so in game still causes it to freeze.
Not working with Intel Arc after the update
Downgraded the directstorage dll's to get past black screen
The game was playable before the update, but now gets stuck during shader compilation with an error popup:
Assertion failed! Program: Z:\home.....\MonsterHunterWilds.exe File: ../src-wine/dlls/winevulkan/loader_thunks.c Line: 3095 Expression: "!status && "vkCreateGraphicsPipelines""
Lowered TDP to 5W
Runs flawlessly
