5.9-GE-5-ST GloriousEggroll
I managed to run the game with some tweaks which has bee posted already here. Some people already post this guide here: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/641. For some reason my file was numbered "33250" instead of "33350". Your file may vary from the guide too. For the number, go into your local game file and look for a file with a vdf extension. After that I have set these variables in the steam launch option (credit goes to "the[V]oid"): PROTON_USE_D9VK=1 PROTON_FORCE_LARGE_ADDRESS_AWARE=1 PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command%. I use the latest proton version (5.9-GE-5-ST) and I did not face any issues.
No multiplayer :(.
I was not able to join a match. It threw me back to the desktop every time it found a server.
(Play hours were counted when i played on Windows)
Runs like a charm, ultra settings (@DX12), in most areas ~100 fps.
Due to my two monitors setup, the game was not properly scaled. On my inital boot, the game was displayed at the lower bottom of my first monitor. I have resolved the problem by alt+tab to the desktop and back to the game again.
Gameplaywise, it runs on my pc without any issues. In most areas i have ~100 fps on ultra settings (@DX12, without PhysX) and does not go below 60 fps.
As others mentioned it already, the Alt-Tab issue can be fixed with the following command: "env WINEPREFIX=debian-installation/steamapps/compatdata/40970/pfx winecfg". After that, open Wine and go the Graphics tab. Put a tick in "Emulate a virtual desktop" and change to your screen resolution.
I experienced some input lag (or screen lag?) while navigating the map with my keyboard.
it may be enjoyable if you avoid or skip all the cutscenes.
Game crashes in some cutscenes. It threw me back to the desktop.
