When starting it shows an 'initialize MCI' error and a black window screen, save for a single window bar at the top of the display. Close error. On top left click on space where the 'File' 'View' 'Game' 'Help' are but can't be seen. They will show along with a drop down menu. In 'File' menu select 'Goto main menu'. The music will start and the game will be playable. Clicking in the background black makes the menus disappear. Ctrl-Tab to another app window and back and they will be back. Playable during normal play. All sounds of normal warfare during game are heard as per normal. The only issue here is the initial startup phase of the game, after clicking Play Game on the standard Matrix/Slitherine sub-menu.
