Great OOTB experience
Game installed, loaded up perfectly fine, and I was able to play without issues.
Runs perfectly out of the box. Zero issues.
The start up videos showing the publisher and developer doesn't work though you will hear the audio of it. Pressing ESC a couple times to skip past them will get you to the main menu of the game and from there it should display properly without issue.
I'm using a PS4 controller connected to my PC via Bluetooth. Switching the controls from keyboard to gamepad in the options menu allowed me to control the game just like it would be on an original PS1, zero issues.
Minor annoyance that you can't use the DPAD to control Raziel. But considering the headache it takes to get this game using a dpad under Windows, I can live with it.
Alt tabbing works fine and does not break or crash the game at all.
Overall, ABSOLUTELY IMPRESSED that this game works right out of the box. Zero issues or concerns with it.
Didn't even have to use Proton. Installed the game on Steam. Pressed play. And it loaded up and played as you'd expect it to.
Overall works pretty good out of the box aside from the game trying to scale across both screens. No audio or visual issues.
When running the game initially the game kept trying to stretch across both screen making it impossible to click into the options menu to adjust resolution. Forcing Proton 4.11-13 fixed this issue for me.
