Must use external keyboard and mouse to login to Microsoft account. System keyboard does not work.
Runs great on Steam Deck. However, It does require some tinkering in Desktop Mode to get started.
- Install game as usual.
- Switch to Desktop Mode and launch Forza Horizon 4 (the Microsoft login screen doesn't appear in gaming mode, only a black screen.)
- You must use an external keyboard and mouse to log in to your Microsoft account in the login window that opens. The system keyboard will not open.
- Change Forza's settings to Windowed Mode and exit game.
- Return to Gaming Mode and everything should now be working. Note Initial load times can be long. Give it time.

The games runs beautifully at a smooth 60 fps. It's 16x9, but that is somewhat to be expected. (Hoping SD's 16x10 comes in an update.)

This is an Overwhelmingly Positive game on Steam and it deserves this rating. SHIFT UP did a remarkable job optimizing for Steam Deck.

Audio:Crackling
The audio through the steam deck speakers crackles and pops, but no issues with headphones.
A quick word of warning for Deck users. Avoid tinkering with proton versions as Denuvo (anti-cheat) will detect as new installs/tinkering and lock you out. I was locked out for 24 hours after trying three different proton versions, trying to fix the crackling audio.
