Per default, it opens a window with black content. The fix was to set a virtual desktop in winecfg (tip: just set it to your monitors resolution). Open winecfg like this after you ran the game once:
WINEPREFIX=/path/to/your/library/steamapps/compatdata/1025600/pfx WINEARCH=win64 $home/.steam/steam/compatibilitytools.d/GE-Proton9-23/files/bin/wine64 'winecfg.exe'
Black screen. Fixed by setting a virtual desktop in winecfg:
