Installed and played first mission without any issues.
Initial launch is in a tiny window. Just need to maximise it to view the menu and then you can change graphical options.

Performance decreases vastly when you add apps on screen like RSR Timings, tyre wear, lap times, etc.
Using Logitech Driving Force GT. Works flawlessly. Problems mapping d-pad but had this in Windows as well. Noticed most people get away with just installing dotnet472 but I just Steam telling me it's "running" but not seeing the game. Installed vcrun2013 and that kicked it in to life.

Runs fine in single player. Becomes very slow and unplayable on multiplayer. Big FPS drops on night time races.
Tried various Proton GE versions and standard/beta Valve Proton 5.09. All had same multiplayer issues.
Installed and ran without any tinkering. "That was left handed"
Currently on v1.06. Will update on newer versions if the game starts to improve stability.
When using onboard audio everything is fine, but when using my Logitech G443 headset i get a little crackling now and again.
As others have reported, some of the metallic surfaces render badly and ghost. Doesn't look terrible, but a little disrupting to the visuals.

Crashes quite often. When it's running it runs smooth.
When in the car there is a bigger performance hit. But if you're just walking around it's fine.
Crashes fairly often. I'd say every 25-30 minutes you get a hang and it has to be killed.
When it's working it works fine. Aside from some weird texture issues now and again. I'm hoping the crashing will get less in future patches.
I found some crashes would repeat themselves like the first brain dance. Every time i loaded the save prior to the BD it would crash at the same place. Reducing resolution from 2K to 1080 would let me progress. Other than that changing to a lower resolution made no observable impact to the performance or stabilty.
The initial launcher asks you to sign in to GOG.com to receive some stuff but the login form doesnt present itself so add the --launcher-skip to the parameters to skip it.
