Works perfectly fine, supports linux natively.
It's an amazing game, and quite a fun one too, but the servers for multiplayer might just be dead/abandoned, but everything else is freaking amazing! Super fun for sure.

I have not setup MangoHud properly or something so it wasn't showing up. But anyways, once I configured the launch commands, the game worked perfectly. Except at one point my FPS DID drop to ~6/7 FPS. But it was resolved by letting the game sit idle for 10-ish minutes. My assumption there is just Steam trying to mess with the files and cache in the background even though you were playing the game. Since that first occurence, I have had smooth gameplay, with FPS staying around 60.
Works pretty much out of the box, the only thing you need to do is enter the command line in the launch options underneath properties.
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command%
You must give the command to enable Proton's 3D rendering.
Worked perfectly out-of-the-box without needing to adjust anything to play the game.
Wonderful gameplay, everything worked perfectly without a single thing needing to be tinkered with.

The game functions exactly as it does on Windows. Although it's an old and buggy game, the game also would glitch out and have bugs on Windows. So I saw no noticable differences in the bugs between the Windows and Linux/Proton versions. I used the Proton version that Steam uses by default. However when trying to launch the game it would say something like 'missing 3DX11' and you would just need to put the command in the properties for start up, and it works perfectly fine after that.
