Plays perfectly, better than on Windows
My experience with Geometry Dash on multiple distros (Arch, Debian, Tumbleweed, even Gentoo) was perfect. You don't need any tinkering at all, just enable Steam Play and hit the Play button. The only tinkering you need is if you are installing a game mode (such as Geode), where you need to tweak the Launch Options (I have set them to WINEDLLOVERRIDES="XInput1_4=n,b" %command%
). This only for Geode though.
Played perfectly. Just installed it and pressed play and it worked with very minor issues.
I thought I will be able to reach 60fps easily given my specs and how old this game is, but I had to lower the resolution and graphics a little. Otherwise the game ran bouncing between 40 and 60fps.
The only issue that I had was one with performance, even though it may be that my hardware is not that great.
I didn't try multiplayer, but singleplayer played perfectly.
No issues at all and no tinkering required to get the game up and running.
