Multiplayer is turn-based. Works great. No issues.
On startup, be patient. Blackscreen for 45 seconds before it starts, and between opening loads. Screen size/pos is annoying. Plays great.
Screen is locked to the upper right in game mode. Centers in desktop mode. Does not seem to be a way to force a true full screen
Long load times at the outset make it appear as though it's broken. You have to wait 45 seconds for first logo, then another 45 each for menu, opening cinematic, and game start. Be patient. Game plays fine.
Set display size to 640x400 in properties and set d-pad to keyboard arrows. Worked great full-screen and docked.

Tried this again with very simple settings and worked better than it ever has. This game shouldn't be bronze; it should be gold. Works fine with no audio or visual issues. I made a controller layout called Bad Mojo D-Pad so you don't have to manually set it. Enjoy.
Works great out of the box on Steam Deck with latest proton GE. I nerfed visual settings in game. No issues whatsoever.

Kept it at 30fps and applied the limiter. Didn't mess with files for 60. Still ran great.
Had to try a couple times to get the Xbox live login to accept typing. Just closed and reopened the window and tapped until it took it.
Error where some cinematic cutscenes do not show and instead show color bars. GitHub script to fix the issue works, but the instructions are unclear. Note it does not fix premonitions.

- Click Download Zip on the top right.
- Find the download in your downloads folder and unzip it.
- Unzip the file.
- Open the file "MoM_fix_videos.sh" with a text editor.
- At the top, create a new line and type the following: #!/bin/bash
- Save the file and close it.
- Move the file to the Steam Deck and place it in the root folder for Man of Medan ("/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/The Dark Pictures Anthology - Man of Medan/")
- Right click anywhere inside the folder NOT on a file and choose “Open in Terminal.”
- In Konsole Type the following: chmod +x ./MoM_fix_videos.sh
- Press Return
- Now Type ./MoM_fix_videos.sh
- Press Return
It works out of the box, but if you want to see all content, significant steps are needed to get this 100%. (But it CAN be done.)
I set graphics to "low." It looks fine to me, and you can get close to two hours play on a full battery.

I've fixed the premonition black screen issue. Best guess I have is that the devs patched this already, so I think the script is outdated. It fixes the video, but BREAKS the premonitions. To fix them, (AFTER you've run the script) you'll need to delete (or move) the .MP4s from the premonition folder and rename all the .bak files to .mp4. Folder path:
SteamLibrary>steamapps>common>The Dark Pictures Anthology - Man of Medan>SMG019>Content>Movies>Premonitions
Again, if you don't care about a couple of the cinematics and premonitions, then ignore all this and go for it. It will play fine. If you want to fix them. The fixes are here.
