Tinker Steps:Changed configuration
There were a couple people who reported deleting the DLC files(or touching them) from the folder - validating - and then relaunching the steam FIXED the game crashing immediately upon launch after the most recent update, I'm here to report it worked for me after doing so with my setup.
The files in question are DLC.bhd and DLC.bdt

You have to sit on the loading screen for what feels like 10 minutes, but the game runs perfectly fine otherwise.
