Good enough
For some reason game can freeze at disclaimer screen. In this case you may try to start it from Big Picture.
Works pretty well
Game may freeze at launch. For me this problem was solved by disabling Steam and UPlay overlays.
Could be better but pretty enjoyable
Crackling sound in some fights. Primarily when the bell is ringing. That could be the original game problem, as I remember something like that back in the days.
Sometimes the grass can disappear at certain angles. Not sure if that's the Proton's problem.
I still have to run older version of Proton to play at all because I don't wanna see screen tearing. Pretty sure anything newer will work fine as well.
Perfect
Didn't encounter any issues. Didn't use any mods, so can't say if it's working or not.
Stuttering during loading new locations.
Game works perfectly, aside of stuttering during map load. After that all works flawlessly. It probably can be fixed by installing a game to an SSD, but I didn't try it. At least it's not crashing like it was on Windows.
Pretty good overall
In some places there was sound crackling. In some there wasn't. Why? I have no idea. How to fix it? I have no idea. I simply adapted to it after a few hours and didn't notice anymore.
There was a few crashes, but I can't say that it's not a Bioware problem.
I have to run with Proton 7 because of Nvidia driver issues (don't want to see screen tearing). I'm sure anything newer runs fine, too.
Works well
If the fight goes a long time and bullets fly constantly cracking walls, FPS may drop dead. Probably because of large amount of particles.
Very good
Closer to the end were a few places where FPS was crashing to the ground during the car chasing.
Minor lagging when switching from cutscene to the battle.
Perfect.
Had one crash in a 10 hours of gaming, but it can be due to one outdated mod.
-vulkan
Playing with controller dead eye marks targets automatically and randomly.
Had stutter once.
All works pretty fine. Just use Vulkan as renderer.
WINEPREFIX="/home/dickus/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/339340/pfx" winetricks wmp11
Some backgrounds have heavy artifacts, some are just missing.
Cutscenes don't work without winetricks/protontricks.
Runs flawlessly
Crashed once but I'm pretty sure it's a Ubisoft thing, not the Proton or Steam. Also, starting up is a bit long because of Ubisoft Connect.
Enjoyable
For some reason after restarting Steam Valheim is showing only "Play Valheim" and "Play Valheim using Vulkan" options, which pretty much the same and crash at the start. After applying and disabling Proton compatibility options it also shows "Play Valheim using OpenGL" which works flawlessly.
Works out of the box
Crashes with Steam overlay on
Didn't play PvP, so can't say if it's working or not. Coop is fine tho.
