Extreme frame stutter when moving around or switching weapons, often lowering my FPS to 15 or even lower. DirectX 11 is completely broken.

Performance:Significant Performance Problems

FPS when moving around or switching weapons was extremely horrible even on low settings.

Instability:Occasionally

Crashed to desktop when loading to sanctuary once.

Significant Bugs:

Start-up time with DirectX 12 is extremely slow, 30 seconds to several minutes at some points. Trying to switch to DirectX 11 to improve performance didn't work. After starting the game, I get either a black screen or a frozen image of my desktop. I hear the 2K logo intro play but then nothing happens.

I've tried several fixes from launch flags, driver downgrades, upgrades, different proton versions, nothing has fixed DirectX 11. Other users report that DirectX 12 performs poorly even on windows so I opted to run the game with DirectX 11. As stated above, it does not work which leaves me with an unpleasant experience playing this game.

There is marked slowness compared to windows performance.

VRChat by its nature is an unstable game, however in linux it is 10 times more prone to crash just from my experience making playing it very unenjoyable.

I have not tested VR yet due to how often the game crashes. It would be more trouble to set up than its worth the play time I would get out of it.
