gamemoderun %command%
No issues so far; I have only finished the prologue and played a little bit of Act 1. Unknown if there are any issues later in the game.
gamemoderun is used to prevent the desktop from sleeping during lengthy cutscenes.
Black screen on startup followed by immediate crash, eventually ran into Denuvo anti-tamper
Tried various solutions, none worked
Disable iGPU. I had to force disable mine through my BIOS. No launch options worked prior to this, and after disabling, it worked flawlessly
Stuttering
The launcher for the current patch, 7.21, is broken as of Proton 9.0-4. XIV Launcher is required to bypass the launcher and start the game.
DLSS is not available OOTB
mangohud DXVK_FILTER_DEVICE_NAME="NVIDIA" %command%
If on NVIDIA driver version 570, you must select your card with DXVK_FILTER_DEVICE_NAME="NVIDIA", otherwise the game will black screen. Note that you do not need to put in the full name of the card; it will be matched to the closest result!
Out of the box experience, given that you add the necessary command line options if on an NVIDIA card.

Game refused to launch otherwise; default proton worked fine for me, no experimental necessary.
gamemoderun SteamDeck=1 %command%
Launches perfectly fine on Proton Experimental with no launch options; however, the game does not recognize my RTX GPU, so I can't use DLSS.
GE-Proton enables DLSS, but must be used with SteamDeck=1 to prevent crashing past the launcher.
"gamemoderun" is used so that the desktop does not go to sleep during lengthy cutscenes.
Was crashing on startup constantly with Steam installed as flatpak. Wasted a lot of time chasing around dead ends, trying different Proton versions, a bunch of random launch options, driver reinstallations, etc. Reinstalled steam as a .deb package, moved my game directories appropriately, and it finally just worked - no further tinkering required.
If you are also trying everything and anything and running into deadends, check what type of steam installation you have.
Whether you need to tinker around or not depends on your version of steam.
