This is why ProtonDB's ratings can be misleading. The game shouldn't be listed as "Gold" when you need to tinker that much to make it work (which I didn't manage to do on my Steam Deck, likely an issue/mistake on my end). If you play the game a lot, the setup time is likely worth it, otherwise play something else.

Following previous posts about installing Edge and changing its settings to Windows7 helped. However, the game would stop launching after a while (gaming showing as "running" on Steam but with no window). For me, going to the prefix's "Program Files (x86)/Microsoft/EdgeUpdate" and renaming "MicrosoftEdgeUpdate.exe" solved the issue.
Multiple Proton versions tried without success.
