Just set it to use Proton 7.0-2 to fix the audio, and everything works fine. Played the whole game start to finish on the deck (including the Maniac Mansion game-within-a-game on Ed's PC) and everything worked perfectly.
The top community layout works fine, although I changed the grip buttons to work as hotkeys for cloak/teleport/etc rather than the trackpad mode shift.
The touchpad works fine for the mouse, although some of the targets (doors, units) can be kind of small to click. You can pause to issue orders though so it's not much of a problem.
Text and units can be a bit small but otherwise runs flawlessly.
No controller support so you need to use the touchpad as a mouse, but plays flawlessly other than that.
Card text can be a little small, but not unreadable.
No controller support, but touchpad-as-mouse and touchscreen both work fine.
Virtual keyboard doesn't always work
Had to force the latest experimental Proton version to get it to start. It mostly runs fine, although changing your player name (to something other than "Player 1") doesn't work because the dialog to enter a new name goes away when you bring up the virtual keyboard.
I completed a couple of solo games with no issues, but didn't try local multiplayer or online.
There's no controller support, and the "official" steam controller profile is very janky. The thumbsticks are mapped to constantly click in front of your character to move them, but this means that you're constantly clicking on everything near your character, including menus.
Appears to run fine, but the control issues made me give up pretty quickly.
Some text is a little small on the Deck's screen, but not unreadable.
Used the default controller scheme and it worked great.
