Linux version is abandoned. Use Proton Experimental
The game resets to windowed mode on each start.
Occasional slowdowns on attempt to check combo explanations mid-game.
With all DLCs present, AI using some combos might cause crash on end of turn.
With all DLCs present, AI using some combos (Heroic Gnomes which ran out of pots and ended with 1 region, as example) might fail to end their turn.
2 out of 5 DLCs are not available for Linux. Native Linux version may or may not run well, depending on your specific libraries availability. Proton/WINE powered version is not quite stable - and, with DLCs, is quite bugged (which may or may not be non-Linux issue). Multiplayer is supposed to be mostly OK, surprisingly, most problems are related to singleplayer.

Very unstable
The Linux version does not come packaged with the necessary libraries to launch. It is an older build that Small World stopped supporting and abandoned. The game launches with Proton Hotfix and runs about as well as it does on Windows which is to say, it does not run well at all. Ever since the Spider's Web DLC released the game crashes frequently to the point I consider unplayable.

did not launch at first, like totally, but after switching to an older proton version it went smooth
totally playable
Virtual keyboard doesn't work when trying to search for friends.
Crashes immediately unless you use proton experimental.
Virtual keyboard doesn't always work
Had to force the latest experimental Proton version to get it to start. It mostly runs fine, although changing your player name (to something other than "Player 1") doesn't work because the dialog to enter a new name goes away when you bring up the virtual keyboard.
I completed a couple of solo games with no issues, but didn't try local multiplayer or online.
Cant start game
Doesn't even load anything, tried with and without suggested launcher options. Latest and older versions of Proton.

The game works just fine, but it's affected by occasional bugs regarding text rendering and stability.
It occasionally crashes on shared screen multiplayer games.
Some text is displayed too small to be read comfortably on a UHD screen.
Works just out of the box, only text size related problem in some informative elements in the game.

Except for some text size related problem the game works smoothly out of the box ;)
Text size in the details cards details is very small if played in UHD resolution.
Had to specify to use 5.13-5 ( even though it's the default ) before that the game refused to launch, after it updated the game and installed various proton/wine things for the game.
After this the game just launches with the launch options:
PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command% -force-d3d9

Does not start at all
I tried to start the game with and without launch option "PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command% -force-d3d9" but it would immediately close after a few seconds (not showing anything)

Important text is missing unless you set the launch option: PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command% -force-d3d9 Same as Ticket to Ride. Runs flawlessly once applied.
PROTON_NO_D3D11=1 %command% -force-d3d9 - this is the same as we use on ticket to ride too

A large amount of text is missing, so most prompts are empty. Would only be playable if one already had significant experience with the game
