Game doesn't launch after the last update. Switching to Steam Linux Runtime (in the same menu as proton) fixes this. Probably caused by a change in a system library, so it should be fine on Ubuntu and similar.

No issues with multiplayer.
My old 1060 performed much better on DX11 than DX12, but any newer GPU will probably perform better on DX12 (the default). The DLL override slightly improves performance, and DXVK async will only take effect on DX11 but it will reduce stuttering.

Friend with poor connection got de-synced badly.
If you are having issues with the DLC, try using Proton-GE. A friend is having severe issues on Proton Experimental.
The devs say that Linux performance is about 30% worse than Windows because of rendering APIs. Many people are having significant performance issues regardless of OS, hopefully it will see some optimization. Experimental seems to run slightly better than Proton 6.20-GE-1. F-sync also improves performance considerably, so there is a benefit to using an f-sync patched kernel.
The reviews from 5 months ago are for the beta, which did crash like a motherfucker, but I haven't gotten any crashes now that the game is in early access. For some reason the menus are capped at 30fps when Vsync is off (????) but it's like that on Windows too.

Some reviews on Steam mention having pretty bad performance, but it ran surprisingly well for me (60-100 FPS on high) on mid hardware so maybe there's some issues with certain setups. Anyway, this game's atmosphere is absolutely insaneo style
No issues at all with proton, native version had some crashes and slightly worse performance
BattlEye proton support is enabled and there are no problems with multiplayer.
Standard proton should work fine I just have GE set as the default
