Placed my roms in the directory "/home/%username%/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/114790/pfx/drive_c/roms" cause otherwise the program couldn't find my roms.
Made right trackpad mouse + lmb and left trackpad rmb for easier navigation
On the native version constant hitches and framedrops from 60 to 4FPS
Do as said in the rest of this report and you will have a great experience.
960x600 with FSR
The emotes require right stick click but the texture was all blocky
Framerate locked to 30 and resolution at 576p. Doesnt make the game more or less playable so it doesnt really matter.
Some of the upgrades / mods text was so small that you couldnt make out difference between + or -. sometimes felt like it those symbols disappeared as well.
Every every so often drops to 30 fps from 60 for a few seconds and then jumps back up. Doesnt affect gameplay.
I changed the controller settings in-game to match SSB controls. Navigating through menus was kept identical though.
Was very playable. Every so often I encountered a player with lag, couldnt tell whether the lag was from internet/p2p/other party or was from my Steam Deck. Need to lobby with someone close or in same network to see whether its an issue.
Had to turn down the settings to low with "One player" Low quality models to have the game be playable, and even then for the first 2 or 3 grand prix the game was quite stuttery and laggy. after playing all 6 grand prix the game runs fine though.
Game runs fine. A bit of audio crackling but otherwise no issues. Game is not really made for controller though.
I changed the dpad and back buttons buttons and left track pad for controls like consumables and whatnot and changes the shoulder buttons to zoom.
Turning down to low with turned up AA
Mainly in menus, the text readability was less than ideal. Game itself was fine.
I changed the graphics settings from "5" to "3" for the best performance, least stuttering during shader caching and for battery. Also able to change to lower resolutions with Proton FSR for better battery
Set Graphics to 3 and using FSR to run it at 960x540
System strain significantly increases depending on your hardware
