When playing any kind of video and sometimes music the audio cracks a little
I'm using Proton Experimental without issues. On bleeding egde beta or Proton 9, the game forgets the login on every launch
Mostly on first launch, recommended to go to the Firing Range to let the game cache the shaders
The Steam screen recording service chops the framerate by half (Im playing at 60fps)
There are reports of people getting banned on Linux for using custom Proton or even default builds altough no proof whatsoever apart from alleged statements on Reddit, EA Help Forums and a couple here. At the moment of writing this I have had no problems on playing, bans, kicks or any kind of warning, I'm using Proton Experimental base, Pop! OS right from out of the box, a base Steam installation, no custom config on Apex apart from novid and have been playing for a whole week. Will change the report if anything happens the moment it happens.
With the 7.9 update of the game, the Proton compat got screwed over, but the devs patched a Hotfix with Proton Experimental Bleeding Edge and it's working again. Any users affected by the "Kicked by Incompatible Operative System" didn't got banned or affected in any other way
