Besides the ray-tracing problem I encoutenred on the buried city map, I had no problem at all. The game is fully playable.
Ray Tracing seems to fail at epic setting in the buried city, causing a great loss of FPS and constant flashing. Dawongrading it to medium specifically on this map resolves the problem. Otherwise, no artefact at all.
If you change window to another application, you may lose mouse control on the game.
It seems that if you're not the party leader and you get ready before the leader, the matchmaking does not start and the leader has to stop and restart the matchmaking.
I ha to tinker because at the time I tested the game, there was a Proton bug resolved only on the Experimental Bleeding-edge branch. Once merged into a stable branch, no tinkering will be necessary.
I used to try Ixion with an old I5 4460 (back from 2015). I had the bug others report where the videos where ultra laggy. But since I updated to a more modern Ryzen 5 (8400F), the problems are gone.
EA launcher kept sending me an error about linking my EA account to Steam after launch. Turns out my Origin account had a expired password. Logging into EA website and resetting password solved the problem.
Check your EA account and link to Steam before launching the game.

Can change keyboard layout to french for acceleration and break, but not for steering left/right
