I have played the game on Windows AND Pop!Os - and the performance is entirely on par. But only great results with GE-Proton7-35
Proton-Up-QT was used to install GE-Proton7-35. You don't need to modify your .INI's (e.g. UpdateInterval=0 will cause graphical ghosting and possibly problems, prior frames bleed into shadows). VSYNC is perfectly fine with this GE-Proton (120hz in my case VRR). Change shadow distance to LOW (or medium) for best performance.
