As long as you are using GEProton.10-8 not newer, you will be able to play game normally and afk too.

First boot game in borderless is blurry as long as you will switch to fullscreen and back.

KDE had issues with mouse position after coming back from tray. GNOME had no such issue.
GEProton.10-9 and above has better performance, but it will crash in tray quickly.
