Freezes during initial startup scene

Tried all suggested tinkering methods (fullscreen was already set to false), yet the game freezes during start up and turns to a black screen.

Flickering red and blue lights in menu and game. Heavy distortion of light and artifacts in game.
Tried Proton Experimental (bleeding edge and stable) and GE version. The game did not start with stable Proton Experimental. The other Proton versions had the mentioned graphical issues. Game worked without any issues before the Update to Hunt: Showdown 1896...

Looks a little grained.
Network error is finally gone.
The network error is gone and (local / online) Multiplayer is finally working. Used GE-Proton8-32. Proton Experimental does not work for MP and Singleplayer worked fine before. Graphics still look a little grained and worse then on windows.
Played the game using Proton Experimental and started the game up on Proton 7.0-4. Game runs smoothly on Experimental and I suppose it should do so on 7.0-4. Multiplayer was no issue so far. There was absolutly no tinkering needed.
