I have tried every suggestion in every comment I could find to get this game to work, including all of the suggested protontricks packages, media codecs, installing the hotfix_01a version of the game, and trying multiple vanilla and GE proton versions. None of them worked, though with proton 5.21-GE and the hotfix, the game sits on a black screen instead of crashing.
Cutscenes do not play, and hence unskippable cutscenes softlock the game.

Occasional softlocks where menu items don't even work, have to restart client.
Game client frequently requires restarting to resolve bugs like UI elements not functioning, weird letterboxing, softlocks, etc.
