After game crashes from initial startup, go into Ubisoft Connect settings and disable all in-game notifications. Game starts and it is playable once intro videos play through. Sometimes will crash on startup after "Powered by Unreal Engine" especially if a key is pressed to interrupt intro videos. Sometimes locks up / freezes transitioning to the start screen from the intro videos. Sometimes freezes / locks up in game. I have not tried to disable intro videos or know if it is possible.

Will run with Proton 6.3-7 (not consistently). Tried Proton Experimental and Proton GE 6.18 GE 2 and crashes after intro videos.
Worked flawlessly from a normal installation, no tweaks needed. Steam controller performed great by default. Gameplay was smooth at default graphic settings.
