None of the below tweaks work for me
I've tried reinstalling, using multiple verisons of Proton (including the ones listed here), several command line options and one of 3 things happens:
- Game instantly crashes
- Game displays opening launch screens, then dies
- Hangs at the steam window
Every time there's an update, the game starts running extremely slow. Forcing 6.3-8 fixes it for me.
Only played single so far
Game crashes after selecting difficulty
I've used the options mentioned below, tried numerous versions of Proton, but it crashes every time during the first load screen after selecting difficulty. I've tried selecting 4k , 2k and 1080p resolutions, same result.
Ubuntu 20.04 Ryzen 9 3950x Radeon RX 590 (pro drivers for gpu rendering in stuff like Blender) 64 GB RAM Game installs on NVME drive
Its a great game, just not running well on my desktop
Very low framerates given great hardware. Running on Intel laptop (windows) and Atari VCS (Lubuntu) yielded much better results.
It doesn't make sense. I have much newer games that run very well, and this game runs well on lesser hardware (laptop and Atari VCS) so why are the framerates so low on my 16 core/64gb ram machine with a AMD 6700XT GPU? I've tried the DX11 trick, different versions of proton, windowed mode, nothing inproves the frame rates.
