Fake "native" game that doesn't even launch properly ''natively", or with Proton.
I'm experiencing a weird bug, where the game runs only when the keyboard or mouse is being used, like I need to keep moving the mouse to just get the game to launch. Not surprising, considering that it's not actually native.
First I used Proton 6.21 GE, but the game couldn't load those tiny video tutorials and crashed. Switched to 6.3-8 and the videos are working, but for some reason the game freezes every time I'm about to enter a new section of the game. And since the game uses only autosaves, every 30 minutes I have to replay the last 15 minutes of the game, to finally get into the next level.
Trying to install "native" version was a mistake, so I installed the Windows version by forcing Proton before the installation. This version works and the game itself is really good, but with this frequency of crashes and poor performance it's barely an enjoyable experience.
The game runs surprisingly well, considering that it uses Origin. So far the performance has been perfect.
At the beginning of dream sequences the controller and the mouse stop working, but the alt+tabbing fixes it, so maybe the focus of the window is changing.
