Others have noted this error: "An error occured while updating Vampire Survivors (missing executable): /home/mark/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/Vamprie Survivors/launcher.sh"
The workaround for this error is to opt-in to the public-beta branch: Right Click Vampire Survivors in your Library >> Properties >> Betas >> "Select the beta you would like to opt into:" >> public-beta
