https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/issues/4533 Tried on a development version of mesa (21.2.0), but according to gitlab, polaris cards don't work. It's a real bummer, because horizons ran just fine. I've tried a ton of different things, but it looks like there's not much I can do about it other than waiting and hoping for a fix. Also tried setting RADV_DEBUG=llvm, but not even that worked, game still hangs at the same spot.

My previous report is inaccurate, the issue appears to be with mono, and the workaround, while not ideal, is opening the steam overlay and waiting for planet generation there. https://github.com/redmcg/wine-mono/issues/6

It works, I was worried about that previous review that said 1.70 broke multiplayer, it still works.
