Remove the line StartupMovies = "Movies/loading.mp4" from cm3.ini in the game files.
Game crashes when trying to exit fullscreen or Alt-Tab out of it
Switching to Proton 6.8-3 made it possible to start, it still ocasionally crashes but overall I'd consider it a playable state
Does not recognize mouse clicks, and the mouse can move outside the game area to other screens when they are connected.
Has been extensively tested under Proton and it shows

Overlays like the expanded view of a card when hovering often flicker or disappear
Fullscreen assumed the dimensions of the primary monitor and therefore parts of the interface are missing when playing on a second, smaller monitor
Most of the time it's good, but when it's bad, it's REALLY bad
Occasionally very low FPS even on lowest graphic settings

Performance is garbage on all multiplayer maps
I did install EAC as directed on https://squadfm.org/#installation-linux-only. It made me able to join multiplayer, but didn't help with performance
