Multiplayer works as expected with no anticheat issues after installing Proton EasyAntiCheat Runtime from following link steam://install/1826330
Works just as well as on Windows. Maybe even smoother thanks to shader precaching (which just happens automatically).
Quite small text used in menus and in HUD. Definitely playable if you have good eyesight but otherwise it might be too small to read.
Multiplayer works 100%, just like you would expect.
In handheld mode: Mostly 60fps on native 1280x800 resolution when running high/ultra.
For some reason performance was worse when docked to a 1920x1080 monitor, but ran really great solid 60fps 1280x800 on low settings using AMD supersampling from the ingame graphics settings. Looked really good and I didn't even pay attention to resolution afterwards.
Proton version works even better than native. Native had some fps drops, Proton version is rock solid 60fps (capped). Works 100%.
Works well with Proton 5.0-7. Performance is as good as expected. Xbox One Controller works out-of-the-box.
EasyAntiCheat does not work with Proton so Realistic Battles are not possible. However Arcade Battles run like a champ. You have to kill the program when exiting the game, not a big deal.
In handheld mode the game works perfectly. Some annoyances in desktop mode but nothing game breaking.
Limiting refresh rate and fps to 40 would give you around 3.5 to 4 hours of battery life.
Problem in desktop mode only: audio device always defaults to Deck's own speakers. You have to manually change audio output to HDMI to use TV/monitor speakers.
Problem in desktop mode only: sometimes bringing the Steam overlay by alt-tabbing freezes the game.
Anticheat works 100%, you can play all the game modes.
Handheld mode: 1280x800, high/max settings -> solid 60fps. Desktop mode: 1920x1080, medium settings -> solid 60fps in Air battles, 50-60 in ground battles depending on the map (city environments make the fps drop a bit).
