I used the manual guide on https://github.com/dotfloat/steam-appmanifest to be able to add this game to my steam library. Then I opened the prefecences from Crossouts and used Proton 4.2-3 to install and try to run it. The Crossout Launcher (0.10.50.110596) starts and downloads the game...after pressing the play button from the launcher the game crashes with an "Fatal Error" error message.
Smooth game play running Mordhau Alpha #20, between 70-100fps with nvidia 415.27 and Proton 3.16-7

In WQHD konstant ~55-60fps mit allen Grafiksettings auf HÖCHSTE, inklusive Nvidia Hair Works AA auf 4 fach und Nachbearbeitung auf HOCH.
Game work's without any issues with Proton 5.0.7. Joining game servers worked as well as hosting own game sessions and invite friends.
A friend of mine was playing on windows and had problems joining any game servers at all. He got kicked out of the game servers after 5 sec...He then rebooted into his Linux Mint 19.3 and suprisingly it worked better with proton and he could join my game session without any problems...
