The game runs fine at full speed. It works just fine out-of-the box as it does on Windows machines.
Crackles on rare occasions. Doesn't bother the gameplay
You might want to install Windows Media Player 9 by typing $ protontricks 324160 wmp9 into the terminal, assuming you have Wine and Winetricks and its Protontricks wrapper already installed. The opening video might crash without it, but you have the option in the "Configurations" menu to choose not for the videos to depend on this player. The ending video works fine out-of-the box and the opening is the same as seen on the games store page so I think it's unnecessary.
If you don't mind reading in windowed mode you can give it a shot at running this on Linux.
It rapidly shakes vertically and is fixed by dragging the window. Toggling the game into full screen crashes the game and is fixed by deleting your saves.

I have a well above the requirements CPU and capable enough integrated graphics. This game has noticeable lag when skipping the text. It's almost unbearable.

This title does not deserve the "SILVER" rating considering, that you can't use it in full screen and you have to potentially delete ALL of your save data to relaunch this game.
I've tried running a few visual novels on my Linux laptop. Unfortunately, many of those are not running as expected. Compatibility on visual novels need to be improved or else VN readers WILL stick with Windows. People claiming, that "The only thing, that holds gaming on Linux back is DRM and Anti-Cheat" have been proven wrong based on my experience.
It's too much of a headache to use the terminal multiple times after failed downloads and it can crashed frequently on Linux.
